Thanks to all of you reunion organizers who have made this reunion possible!

Lance Murty (husband) and I moved to Oregon in 1981 and I finished law school out here. Lance and I met in 1978 as Temporary Foreign Service Staff Officers/Russian-speaking exhibit guides on a US gov't exhibit touring for 8 months in the former Soviet Union (Kyiv [Ukraine], Tselinograd [Kazakhstan], and Dushanbe [Tajikistan]). After law school, I worked as a litigator/appellate lawyer in a private firm in Portland and had two sons (Danny Murty, now a physical therapist in Honolulu, and Greg Chaffin, national security staffer for Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-MI, in D.C.). I worked for 10 years in-house for U.S. Bank, then had my own private practice, and finally transitioned to international charity work, as general counsel of Mercy Corps (Portland) and Accion International (Boston), which enabled me to do a lot of international travel. I retired and we came back to Oregon in 2016. Since then, I have kept very busy with political activist work.
